**IDVA**: To provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at highest risk. To work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse.

Our main office is based in Lincoln however we provide support to the whole of Lincolnshire.

Hybrid working with occasional office based work across Police stations.

**Independent Domestic Violence Advisor**

37.5 hours per week

**Are you committed and enthusiastic to making a difference to those affected by domestic abuse?**

We are looking for someone that is dynamic and self-motivated to join our dedicated team here at EDAN Lincs to support individuals/families who have been affected by domestic abuse.

The NEW Domestic Abuse Support Service is aligned to three core principle aims:
**Prevention - **Aiming to intervene before harm occurs or preventing further harm.

**Protection** - Providing support to victims if harm has occurred to reduce the impact and increase their safety.

**Recovery - **To be future focused, increase resilience, confidence, and skills to rebuild victims’ lives.

**IDVA’S** provide **emotional **and practical advice, guidance, and support to victims for up to **12 weeks.**

They help them to navigate the criminal justice system and increase their safety.

Will support the service user to promote **their wellbeing and recovery**.

Identify any associated children or young people who may benefit from accessing specialist support in their own right via the CYP IDVA.

The ideal applicant will be required to actively work with individuals, provide crisis intervention, raise awareness of domestic abuse and to create personalised support plans to help them move forward with an independent life that is safe and free from domestic abuse while reflecting the values of EDAN Lincs.

The successful applicant will be a reliable individual who has proven experience of emotional and practical support, including being proficient in working holistically to deliver risk assessment, safety planning, confidence and self-esteem while working in a high paced and often challenging, but highly rewarding, workplace.

The successful applicant will have proven experience of emotional and practical support and be a reliable individual who reflects the values of EDAN Lincs.

Relevant experience or knowledge of the causes and effects of domestic abuse on adults, children and young people is desirable.

NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience is required.
