A well-established SEMH school in North Essex who caters for pupils with a range of needs (ASD, MLD, ADHD and EBD) are looking for recent graduates to join their team as a SEMH specialist TA. As a specialist SEMH TA you will be supporting the classroom teacherto provide a range of vocational learning courses and provide, in a safe, structured yet stimulating environment, opportunities for young people to develop their independence and SEMH skills. The school has a strong team of dedicated staff and supportive leadership.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant you will be expected too;
- Follow instructions from Teachers in order to support effectively in the classroom
- Adhere to professional practice standards and legislation, including confidentiality, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion policies
- Support students on 1:1, adapting your approach on a case by case basis in order to engage students effectively
- Help children with learning and development
