We are currently looking to recruit 2 Import / Export Supply Chain Coordinators to join our Supply Chain Team based at our Sutton-in-Ashfield (NG17 5LN) site.

This is a new opportunity to be an integral part of an inspiring and dedicated team, supporting the wider Supply Chain function of a successful, international confectionery brand.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Overseeing day to day operations of imports and exports and maintaining efficiency within the team
- Creating import and export instructions using available information such as the UK Trade Tariff
- Working collaboratively with the import/ Export Supply Chain Manager to review import/export legislation changes, adapting processes to align with this
- Manage changes associated with Brexit, e.g. upcoming changes from CHIEF to CDS, changes to the import border from EU countries, Brazil, US, Turkey and Asia
- Liaison with supply chain stakeholders to ensure timely provision of all information and documentation required for import and export clearance
- Working within the UK customs team on all company customs matters
- Liaising with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure documentation is received and compliant
- Support on Customs related projects
- Reconciliation of monthly data from HMRC
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and key stakeholders
- Support on accreditations and compliance requirements
- Obtain evidence for export shipments
- Regular audits of import and export entries, ensuring 100% compliance with customs regulation
- Dealing with various modes of transport
- Complete day to day custom clearance and entries
- HMRC for TSS customs declarations
- VAT exemptions in line with HMRC

**Supply chain skills**:

- Plan the most efficient ways of transporting goods by sea freight or road freight
- Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained
- Arranging routes and schedules
- Booking cargo space with carriers
- Advising clients regarding shipments and bookings
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills, confident with data analysis and Microsoft Excel
- A capable problem solver, able to make quick, effective decisions
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, being proactive and adaptable

**Key skills and experience of the Import and Export Coordinator**:

- Knowledge of EU and Global import and export processes
- Understanding of shipping systems and documentation
- Previous experience in import, export, customs, logistics or freight forwarding, 2+ years essential
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills, confident with data analysis and Microsoft Excel
- A capable problem solver, able to make quick, effective decisions
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, being proactive and adaptable

- Strong planning and analytical skills
- Good communication & Influencing skills
- Supplier management experience
- Customer demand planning and demand management understanding
- Customer Service / Supply Chain understanding
- To be able to communicate effectively with both external customers and internal stakeholders at all times. Using this to build good and lasting relationships with all key stakeholders including the customer service team.
- Driving License is essential for customer / internal meetings
