**About the role**
Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick has an exciting opportunity for a Labourer to join our team at Sellafield**.**

Role Purpose:

- Provide essential support to electricians and other skilled tradespeople in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Assisting with various tasks such as material handling, site preparation, and equipment maintenance, the Electrical Mate/Labourer helps ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
- This role plays a vital part in the overall success of electrical projects by contributing to the smooth operation of worksites

**What you'll be doing**
As a Labourer you will:

- Support electricians in various tasks including wiring, installation of electrical components, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Assist in the transportation and organization of materials, tools, and equipment required for electrical projects.
- Prepare worksites by setting up equipment, scaffolding, and safety barriers as directed by the lead electrician or supervisor.
- Assist in pulling and securing electrical cables, ensuring they are properly routed and connected according to specifications.
- Help maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing routine inspections and minor repairs as necessary.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established procedures for the safe handling of electrical components.
- Assist in documenting work activities, including completing job reports, updating project logs, and recording materials used.

Work collaboratively with electricians, supervisors, and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high quality standards.
