Are you an experienced SEN/ASD Teaching Assistant with a passion to make a difference to children who have ASD/Complex needs?
TLTP are looking for an experienced SEN/PMLD TA for an Outstanding SEN School based in Bexley. The school is committed to the development and delivery of high quality relationships with families and local community organisations to ensure that the childrenattending the school achieve their full potential and become respected and active members of the local community.
The Position will include:
Working with children aged 11 19 years old.
Working with children with SEN, ASD, ADHD.
Providing personal care to students.
Assisting the Teacher with lesson planning.
Using PECs to communicate with Students.
One to one or small groups
Using a Hoist
**Requirements**:
Available to start ASAP
1 year experience of working with Children or Care background

This special needs teaching assistant role will be supporting a secondary children with Autism and complex needs/SLD.
Special needs teaching assistants will need excellent behaviour management skills
Be able to build positive relationships with young people and staff
Good knowledge/experience working with children with ASD/complex needs within an Special needs environment
Special needs experience working with primary aged pupils
Special needs teaching assistants will be collaborating with the classroom teacher to define appropriate activities for the pupils in relation to the curriculum
Assessing children who have long or short-term learning difficulties and working with colleagues to identify individual pupils' special needs
Liaising with other professionals, such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists
Working closely with parents and guardians
Organising learning outside the classroom in activities such as community visits, school outings or sporting events
Special needs teaching assistants will need to assist in severely disabled pupils' personal care/medical needs
Administration, including updating and maintaining records of pupils' progress
Attending statutory annual reviews or other related meetings, such as Looked After Child (LAC) reviews, regarding students with a SEN, which may involve reviewing Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans
Receiving in-service training
Behaviour management
