Microbiology Technician

**Microbiologist Technician - Hampshire**

Our client is a chemical contract research organisation looking for a microbiology technician to join their team in the Hampshire/South Coast region. Your role would be to act as a microbiologist in an expanding team looking to develop new microbial formulations.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Conducting research in microbial formulation with a range of microbiological techniques
- Using techniques such as cell culture, incubation, aseptic technique and microbial isolation
- Writing up and interpreting results from studies
- Ensuring compliance with lab safety regulations
- Conducting COSHH risk assessments
- A minimum BSc in biochemistry or a similar scientific discipline
- Experience using microbiological testing techniques either from university or industry
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of lab safety procedures (preferably within GLP labs)
- Full right to work within the UK
