To undertake, under the general direction of the Catering Manager, the preparation, cookingand serving of food.

Responsible to: Catering Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Preparation of food, baking and beveragesunder the direction of the CateringManager/Cook in Charge
- Cooking in accordance with menus
- Serving meals at breakfast, break and lunchtime
- Help any member of kitchen staff as required
- General kitchen and dining room duties i.e.washing up, clearing away equipment andtables
- Cleaning of the kitchen, surrounds andequipment to a high standard
- Attend appropriate training
- Ensure duties are carried out in accordance withhygiene and health and safety procedures
