Administration Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Support Services and Women’s and Children for an Administration Supervisor based at Newmarket Hospital supervising both the Clinical Support Officers and Medical Secretaries. General working hours are between 8.30 -5pm.

To co-ordinate the team rota including A/L, sickness and updating Health Roster.

Ensure the appropriate level of support is provided for the clinical services and department.

Manage the day-to-day enquiries that arise.

Provide supervisory support to the team including sickness, appraisal process, Health & Safety, and occupational referrals.

Ensure the best possible service is given to both patients and other departments.

Ability to work calmly in a busy environment

Previous experience as a supervisor, line managing and communicating with other service providers.

Excellent IT & communication skills

Adaptable and flexible approach to working

Ability to motivate others and implement change.

To supervise the Administration & Support team including Clinical Support Officers and Medical Secretaries

To supervise the provision of services for all Newmarket Hospital Tenants, including post, keys,

switchboard, and the point of contact for visitors to the site including clinicians, staff, patients and carers, engineers, technicians, and others.

To supervise and assist with the provision of clinical support for the Outpatient Department and Phlebotomy

To supervise and carry out tasks relating to patient property, lost property, petty cash, electronic payments, banking, invoices, and other financial duties in accordance with the Trust Financial Instructions.
