**£350-£400 per day (outside IR35)**
**6 months contract**
A network analyst is required by our FMCG client. The Network Analyst will primarily be responsible for providing network technical support and guidance for a cyber remediation programme across several of our client’s global R&D sites.
Following a recent security risk assessment a programme of work has been created which includes segmenting elements of the network to controlled zones behind local firewalls on the network.
The core purpose of the role is to successfully manage the transition of the identified assets to a new secure zone, with key responsibility for supporting changes on local devices, identifying and raising new firewall rules, and troubleshooting issues atpoint of migration and rule implementation.
**Responsibilities**
1. Review site discovery outputs to identify assets that need to be isolated
2. Coordinate with local site contacts to agree scope and zone allocation of individual assets
3. Formulate schedule for device migration and associated changes required at point of change
4. Raise necessary changes to support asset migration/changes and coordinate with local and central teams to gain approval
5. Provide technical analysis support to troubleshoot issues and identify resolution paths to minimise business impact
6. Communicate with asset owners as required to support scheduled changes and issue resolution
7. Analyse firewall logs to identify valid rulesets required
8. Investigate unidentified communication paths and make recommendations on necessity of continued interaction
9. Recommend and support implementation of revised rulesets
10. Tracks all workstream activities against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders, as appropriate and manages stakeholder expectations. Acts where these deviate from agreed tolerances
11. Manage the change control procedure for associated technical changes and work with supporting internal teams and customers to deliver
12. Provide audit trails of decisions and configuration applied
13. Provide clear end state documentation to handover into BAU teams
14. Capture lesson learned throughout work to be fed back into next site migrations
**Experience**
- Degree in computer science or management information systems/ Networks technical certification
- CompTIA Network+ certification beneficial
- 2-5 years of experience in a network analyst role
- Exceptional ability to provide network support and resolve errors
- Advanced knowledge of network setup and security protocols
- Successful track record of implementing network changes
- Demonstrated ability to identify and raise firewall rules to ensure secure communications
- Experience in understanding common network protocols for internet and business systems communication
- Successful track record of building relationships within teams and to across wider business
- Experience of delivering change across different geographies and cultures
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to use collaboration tools (Audio/Video Conferencing, SharePoint, Teams)
