Black & White Engineering (B&W) is a leading MEP design consultancy. Launched in the UAE in 2007, Black & White became an independent company in 2014 and is now a true global consultancy with offices in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

Due to the continued expansion of the London Team, we are looking to recruit an Electrical Associate Director, ideally with Data Centre experience, to lead a diverse and multi-disciplined team on technically challenging projects.

As a fast-paced, growing business; this role will be responsible for managing projects to deliver an excellent service to clients and assist in the ongoing development and growth of the business as a whole, whilst providing sound technical, design and contract management support.

Reporting into the London-based Office Lead; we’re looking for an experienced leader to take overall accountability for the performance of the Electrical function as part of the wider management team.

Key responsibilities will also include
- Promoting learning from successes and problems within the group and across the business
- The development and implementation of plans for the longer-term benefit to the office
- Assisting with the recruitment, appraisal, performance, work, development, morale and motivation of the team
- Providing robust directional and honest feedback to staff
- Organising training needs for teams
- Financial performance including ensuring healthy profit and cash flow
- Procuring work and negotiating significant contracts and agreements with customers and suppliers
- CEng (or equivalent) of an appropriate professional body
- Recognised as an expert within B&W and the industry in the Region
- Experience of leading successful and dynamic teams
- Desirable experience of managing large scale, technical projects
- Experience of dealing with complex escalated problems on behalf of multi-disciplined teams
- Behaviours that demonstrate integrity, straight-talking, respectful and fairness
- Experience of promoting and enforcing a culture of respect and inclusion of all in the business
- Strong Critical Engineering technical experience within the Data centre sector preferred
