We need someone who can innovate and lead through the annual programme of experiences and events here at Cotehele, giving our supporters reasons to return and inspiring the next generation of National Trust supporters.

We’re looking for the right creatively minded person to help around 150,000 visitors each year connect with the house, garden, quay, mill, and wider estate in new and meaningful ways.

This role is based on 1950 annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

What it's like to work here:This beautiful Tudor mansion is situated high above the River Tamar, with Dartmoor National Park and many unspoilt beaches nearby. The property is brimming with character, and is home to many colourful tapestries, armours and artefacts. The team pride themselves on providing superb customer service, and the family atmosphere amongst the 65-member team makes Cotehele a very special place to work. Due to its location, it’s likely you will need your own transport to get here.

What you'll be doing:You'll work closely with property teams to develop and implement high-quality, experiences, and visitor programming in order to attract a wide range of new and existing audiences. With support from property teams, you'll be leading the establishment of annual programming themes, helping deliver deeper community connections and financial business growth. The post will be supported by the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager, as well as the wider portfolio team. You’ll also be line managing our Volunteering & Community Officer for the portfolio.

The post-holder will be part of our Visitor Experience Lead and Duty Manager rota for the property throughout the year, this includes working weekends (approximately every 1 in 3 weekends, plus others based on the needs of the property)
