We have recently partnered with one of the UK’s largest based multi-brand distributors to both high-street and online retail markets. Our client is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join an established core IT Team that provide unrivalled development.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced IT team and work closely with senior leadership with an array of training provided allowing the successful Application Support Engineer to grow and focus their career with continuous support.

This role will provide a hybrid style of work, with the Application Support Engineer working 3 days a week out of our client’s head office based in Walsall. Trust is massively important in this role, our client pride themselves on providing a positive workingenvironment.

As an Application Support Engineer you will be required to have a commercial experience of querying SQL Server, write stored procedures with SQL and end-to-end testing.

**The Role**
- Ensure all incidents, problems, service requests and change requests are dealt with in a professional manner within the SLA
- Utilise knowledge and experience of operating systems and databases to investigate reported faults
- Utilise internal test systems and remote support methods to investigate reported faults
- To retain ownership of all issues logged until resolution
- Liaise with Developers to find resolutions to reported software faults and to ensure that defects and change requests are managed effectively
- Assist with product testing when required
- To produce concise issue resolution and user documentation as required

**Required Exposure**
- Experience providing technical support - case resolution
- Knowledge of scripting and querying SQL / MS SQL Server 2008 to 2019
- Active Directory, O365, VMware, MySQL
- An understanding of Networking and Data Analytics
- SharePoint, Power BI and ERP exposure would be desirable
