RSPCA Llys Nini Cardiff to Swansea is an independently registered charity (registered charity number 224337) affiliated to, but not funded, by the RSPCA. RSPCA Llys Nini provides animal welfare throughout Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend and parts of Rhondda Cynon Taff and Cardiff council areas.

Llys Nini helps over 2,000 animals each year. It’s main aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abused and unwanted animals.

As the charity continues to grow and the need for funds is greater than ever, we are looking for an enthusiastic Fund Raising Co-ordinator to join our team and help us achieve our exciting and ambitious funding goals.

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you will provide support in organising and developing our wide ranging events and fundraising activities in order to meet our commitments. You will be part of a small friendly team who are all committed to improving the lives of animals.

We are ideally looking for someone who is reliable, conscientious and who is committed to delivering the fundraising activities and events covering support on community, corporate, events, donor fundraising within strict guidelines. They will be organised and structured in their approach to work and will be able to work unsupervised and with their own initiative.

The role will be a flexible 35 hours per week, full time, permanent contract, but will include a number of weekend and Bank Holiday working days when the need arises.

**Job summary**:
To deliver the fundraising activities and events covering support on community, corporate, events, donor fundraising within strict guidelines throughout the new branch area - Carmarthenshire to Cardiff.

**Key responsibilities**

1. Generate income for the Charity.

2. To initiate and develop fundraising events throughout the branch area.

3. Be part of the “Brainstorming” team and be open to try new methods of fundraising

4. Organise and support the Charity’s publicity for events across all media platforms.

5. Plan and facilitate events to raise funds and coordinate activities of the volunteers relating to event planning and execution

6. Create marketing materials - flyers and brochures, to be used for event promotions or fundraising activity.

7. Promote and develop the Llys Nini Safe Haven sponsorship scheme across the branch area.

8. Develop and work with potential corporate partners within the branch area to maximise commercial opportunities and build partnerships with these organisations to enhance fundraising opportunities - eg sponsorship, fundraising initiatives such as donation collection days, support a charity day, sponsored walks, raffles, dinners etc.)

9. To attend fundraising events and publicity events on behalf of the Charity (which will include some evening, weekend and bank holidays work.)

10. Ensure best practice in community fundraising, ensuring all activities are legally compliant, and obtaining relevant permissions and licences.

11. Analyse the performance of events and other fundraising activities for effectiveness and returns.

13. Ensure all activities and events are risk assessed and conducted in a safe manner, in compliance with legal requirements.

14. Any other duties as required from time to time by the line manager.

**Key experience required for the role**
- Minimum of one year’s experience in working in fundraising for a charity
- Proven experience of working to achieve financial targets
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Confident, outgoing and likeable personality
- Creative thinker
- Self motivated
- Flexible working - weekends/Bank holidays
- Quick thinker and with the ability to make decisions whilst under pressure
- Team player
- Working with volunteers, children, and vulnerable adults
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Empathy to the Charity’s aims and objectives

**Key Skills**
- Proactive and highly organised with good attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite with high level of computer literacy
- Welsh speaker preferred

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
