Quality Control Operative

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Quality Control Operative to join our team in Westbury, Wiltshire.

Due to the company’s recent growth, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Quality Control Operative to join our dynamic team.
**Position: Quality Control Operative**
**Job Summary**: As a Quality Control Operative at Aplates, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for ensuring that our number plates meet the quality standards set out by the DVLA, as well as reaching our high internal standards. You will also contribute to the production of number plates and number plate stock, monitoring and managing stock levels with a keen eye.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operate and monitor machinery and equipment used in the production process.
- Assemble components accurately and efficiently according to production guidelines.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before packaging.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials and report any shortages to the supervisor and manager.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any operational issues that may arise during production.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production processes and product quality.
**Requirements**:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-based environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Can-do attitude.
- Computer literacy.
**Preferred**:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.

**Schedule**:
- 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday
- Breaks: 30 minutes for lunch
- 40-hour work week
