**IRC222397 - TAX ADVISOR**

At **Eni**, we are looking for a **Tax Advisor **within **Eni UK **in **London**. You will be responsible for preparing the taxation compliance and advice for companies in the UK in respect of direct and indirect taxes to support the E&P businesses of the Eni UK group including responding to HMRC correspondence under the supervision of the Tax Manager/Senior Tax Adviser. It includes working with colleagues in both the UK and overseas teams, to ensuring both relevant UK and overseas compliance obligations are met and the quarterly tax reporting process for the UK businesses are effectively carried out in accordance with Group policy. In addition, as part of the team’s activities, the advisor will also ensure that the appropriate controls are in place and are monitored to review the level of compliance along the supply chain.

**As a member of the TAX Department at** Eni UK you will be responsible for**:

- Liaising with the outsource service provider (if any) to ensure the provision of tax information for tax returns submission.
- Ensuring that all available relief and allowances are obtained for VAT, EU Sales List (and other indirect tax filings), CT and PRT in the most tax efficient manner.
- Preparing and technical input in response to HMRC corporate tax self-assessment (CTSA), PRT and Indirect Tax queries.
- Providing support for/have direct responsibility for the calculation of current and deferred taxes and preparation of tax journals.
- Reconciliation between tax figures according to the applicable Accounting Principles.
- Providing support to other teams within the department as required.
- Performing ad hoc duties as required.
- Preparing reconciliations between CT and PRT charges
- Preparing final CT returns, claims and surrenders.
- Reviewing and determine action required for PRT decision notices and CT assessments.
- Assisting the Tax Dept in ensuring that the optimum level of UK tax is paid.
- Calculating, under the overall supervision of Tax Manager, of current and deferred taxes according to UK, Eni Principles.
- Managing the timely calculation and booking of tax items according to Company’s and Eni reporting requirements.
- Preparing journals for booking of tax items according to the Company’s and Eni reporting requirements.
- Reconcile tax figures according to the applicable accounting principles.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations, in addition to other indirect tax when and as required
- Assisting with providing support in respect of customs issues arising from imports and exports
- Liaising with and provide data to/from the external service providers (if relevant) and work in co-operation with them to ensure the provision of timely and accurate information to assist with the preparation of tax returns.
- Calculating and following up the year-end and half-year audit process for the issues relevant to taxes.
- Supporting the Tax Manager/Senior Tax Adviser in the identification, design and implementation of tax planning opportunities for the businesses
- Sharing experience by providing coaching and support to the wider Tax team
- Providing tax advisory support to the UK business unit as required.
- Assisting with corporate optimization and reorganization projects to optimize group cash flows and streamline the Eni UK group.
- Ensuring adherence to the Company’s Health, Safety & Environment policies, procedures, and standards
- Fully comply with Eni Code of Ethics and Compliance Model.

- University degree or equivalent.
- Qualified to at least ATT or equivalent is recommended.
- Previous relevant experience in a tax role within the Oil and Gas Industry.
- SAP accounting, Excel, Word, OneSource (tax software).
