About Us: Pertemps is a well-established Agency supplying logistics and distribution placements. Our company provides delivery solutions to our client. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable HGV1 Store Delivery Driver to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Job Summary:
As an HGV1 Store Delivery Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods from our distribution centre to various stores. You will be responsible for driving a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV1) while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Your primary goal will be to deliver goods in a timely and secure manner, maintaining the integrity of the products and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

- Ability to trunk and do store deliveries.
- be flexible and happy to go out on a second run.
- Safely operate a HGV1 vehicle to transport goods to designated store locations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring that they are properly secured and organized within the vehicle.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan delivery routes, taking into consideration traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery and mileage records.
- Comply with all relevant traffic and safety regulations, including hours of service and weight limits.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and store personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Use Telemetric and specific routes plans.
- Handle goods with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns to the maintenance department.

Qualifications:

- A Driver Assessment is required.
- Valid HGV1 (Category C+E) driving license.
- Current CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- A clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- Strong knowledge of HGV driving regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical fitness and the ability to load and unload goods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety.
