St Mewan School are seeking an enthusiastic and talented person to assist the PE Lead in supporting the delivery of an excellent sport curriculum across our primary school. The role of PE Assistant will involve supporting teachers with PE lessons, attending sporting fixtures with pupils and ordering and managing PE resources across the school.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or experience
- At least Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above
- To accompany and supervise groups of pupils at local sporting events in school time and out of school time as required.
- To liaise with outside agencies, such as sports clubs and other schools, in relation to sporting events.
- To work under the direction of the PE co-ordinator and teachers in relation to resources for children’s recreation at lunch time and after school.
- To liaise with the PE co-ordinator in relation to activities for promoting sport within the school community.
- To work with other adults, including teachers, lunchtime supervisors and other support staff in the supervision of children.
- To support the school in promoting sports and links with the local community.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: From £11,000.00 per year
