**Position summary**

Eque2 is a software company backed by private equity, growing rapidly, and seeking to strengthen its second-level management team, operations and processes in readiness of future plans.

Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Business Intelligence is a new role which will deliver high-quality, standardised, easily accessible data systems across functions that enable data flows across business processes. Data will be securely owned, managed, and maintained to enable reporting which facilitates earlier, better decisions to drive value.

The individual will likely have direct reports as the function develops. Business partnering will be essential throughout and it is also likely that you will be involved in due diligence projects, both buy and sell sides.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the delivery of Eque2’s business intelligence strategy
- Work with external consultants and oversee the implementation of a data cube and reporting tools
- Ongoing management and maintenance of the data cube, including its security and all relevant data assets
- Working with peers and colleagues to build a reporting catalogue that fulfils the needs of the business, enhancing the suite of reports as the business develops and grows
- Lead on the vision to embed new analytics initiatives that enhance user experience and decision-making and be actively involved in the delivery
- Develop and manage key performance indicators for business performance
- Facilitate & optimise interactions between business functions
- Lead on data forums, working groups, and steering groups as well as supporting the creation of Executive level reporting

**Skills, qualifications and experience**
- Strong understanding of data integration between systems, transactional and reference data, and leading on the design and mapping
- Strong experience in data governance & quality
- Strong understanding of data architecture & integration
- Strong experience in data analytics and business intelligence platforms
- Ability to decipher and organise large amounts of data
- Ability to articulate complex problems clearly and in non-technical terms
- Commercial awareness and ability to influence
- Working with peers and stakeholders
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Strong, nurturing approach to people management
- Recent SME experience
- Due diligence (preferred) or willingness to learn
