An exciting opportunity has opened up within Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership, Primary Care Team for a Deputy Primary Care Lead.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a vision for change and leadership that is able to guide and shape Primary Care Services in line with the Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership Strategic Plan, Local & National Legislation and Guidance and other relevant contractual regulations.

This role will be directly responsible and accountable for the strategic and operational management of several services within Primary Care and will deputise for the Primary Care Lead as required; delivering high quality, person centred care. The post holder will lead, manage and co-ordinate all operational resources in a well-planned and controlled manner ensuring that service requirements and resource levels are fully identified and support the strategic direction of Aberdeen City Health And Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP) and to escalate risk and issues as appropriate to the Primary Care Lead.

The Primary Care Deputy Lead will contribute to the development of Primary Care Services in Aberdeen to meet the challenges faced in the immediate future, including developing, delivering and monitoring strategic objectives to sustain the needs of Primary Care Services in Aberdeen; ensuring the implementation supports and meets performance and financial targets.

Primary Care Services include 2c Medical Practices and Independent Medical Practices, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Optometry for Aberdeen City.

The post holder will also develop strong working relationships with and support greater co-ordinated working with both internal services as well as other services across the Public, Third and Independent Sectors as well as other key stakeholders.
