We are looking for a **skilled test engineer** to provide service to the test department in product testing and fault diagnostics. Ensuring product meets performance and quality requirements through product testing in accordance with acceptancetest procedures.

A HND in Electronics/Electrical or equivalent is essential for consideration for this role. We are looking for someone who has significant practical working experience on the bench, production testing and fault finding to component level of practical powerelectronics and/or analogue electronics based circuits, preferably in switch mode power supplies.

You must have the ability to solder and have a strong foundation knowledge in fundamental electronics principles.

**Responsibilities**:

- Generate test work Instructions
- Diagnose faults to component level in a methodological and efficient manner for both internal failures and customer returns
- Generate root cause analysis and correction action failure reports
- Support manufacturing review board of identified defects in Test
- Perform soldering to IPC standards
- Monitor and identify pattern trends, and from test data pre-empt potential issues and discrepancies
- Ensure all test equipment are maintained and in calibration
- Support transitional activities of maturing products from Engineering into Production Test
- Design, build and commission production manual and automated test sets/rigs where required
- Perform verification testing as a result of obsolescence
- Promote best practices in test and streamline them for ease of manufacture and testability
- Ensure that processes are adhered to as prescribed within the Company Quality Management System
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities within the test department.
- Support and promote good working relationships with other team members
- Ensure a high level of housekeeping is maintained
- Help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures
