This is a newly created role within the team and is in its infancy within the design industry. The role is designed to operationalise what we create and how we create it. The role looks at attaining efficiency, consistency and quality in five core areas of DesignOps: People, Design Toolkit, Collaboration and Design Value.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead DesignOps workstream (managing people and quality of deliverables)
- Work with leadership to shape, support and communicate team vision and strategy
- Oversee and continually improve team operations incl. ways of working, team management, opportunity management, performance management, resource management, recruitment, on-boarding / off-boarding, tools management, commercials etc.
- Provide operational support to propositions, branding & marketing and learning
- Coach peers and junior DesignOps team members for skills advancement and design process education
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, peers, and stakeholders
- Support business development initiatives
- Adhere to and promote KPMG values and our team ethos to "do the right thing, and do it right"
- Adhere to and promote accessibility standards and ethical design principles
- Adhere to and promote Information Security related processes, procedures and role-based responsibilities

**Desired skills and experience**:

- Proven experience in design operations roles
- Proven experience in project and programme management
- Demonstrable experience of solving complex problems using various design methodologies
- Familiarity with a range of research techniques and related deliverables
- Ability to balance priorities on simultaneous projects
- Ability to design and lead workshops with all levels of participants (users to C-levels and execs)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate, sell, defend, and receive feedback on work
- Skilled in common design tools; Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator) etc.
- Experience with working in a multi-disciplinary Agile environment (in-house or agency)
- Awareness and interest in current technology and design trends
- Strong self-motivation and teamwork skills, with the ability to build momentum and pivot if needed
