**Main Purpose**:
We are looking an Administrator to join our small team to oversee day to day running of our charity. You would be responsible for welcoming visitors, coordinating meetings, appointments and directing various administrative projects.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
1. Ensure that administration systems and procedures are in place to support the full range of activities and work plans undertaken by ELREC and its staff and members.

2. Manage the day to day activities of a busy office environment, including answering phones, meeting clients, reception duties, mail receipt and distribution, maintenance of ELREC's files and systems, and word processing activities. Some advice and referral work will be expected at this first point of enquiry.

3. Manage all external business contracts held by ELREC with Finance Officer and Line Management.

5. Undertake and manage the personnel activities in conjunction with Line Management. This includes contracts of employment, offer letters, absence/sick leave records etc.

6. Manage the Health and Safety requirements of a busy office environment and refer to Line Management items requiring action.

7. Support the Management Board, General Purpose Committee, Personnel and Membership Sub-Committee of ELREC. This includes the preparation of agendas, minutes and minute taking and actioning matters arising where appropriate.

8. Contribute to the business development of the organisation e.g., assist in the production, promotion and marketing of ELREC publications and products.

9. Supervise and support volunteers and non-paid employees of ELREC e.g. trainees and placement students.

10. Any other appropriate duties deemed relevant by the Line Management.

**Educational / vocational qualifications required**:
2. An administrative qualification would be desirable

**Experience**:
1. Experience of full responsibility of an office environment

2. Experience of supporting staff teams from diverse backgrounds

3. Experience in public liaison with a wide range of service users and providers in the private, statutory and voluntary sectors

4. Have good interpersonal skills, including good writing, presentation and listening skills with the ability to be an effective negotiator

6. Experience of working with equality communities is desirable

7. An understanding of anti-discrimination and anti-harassment practices would be desirable.

8. Knowledge of Equalities Act 2010 would be desirable
