**The Opportunity**:
Lead the DevOps for this large government owned organisation. Determine the design and implementation for DevOp practices, as you drive for excellence in the way our system and network infrastructure is developed, maintained & distributed across on-premises plus public and private cloud services. Manage two direct reports.

Based in our Burnside, Christchurch office with majority of our IT department, you report directly to the IT Operations Manager. Full-time permanent position to start as soon as possible. You will receive a market level salary and workplace flexibility, as you will be able to work remotely 3 days per week and can opt into working a 9-day fortnight if you want.

**About You**:
To be eligible to do this role, you will have:

- Prior experience in DevOps Engineering with cloud technology, and experience leading a team or project(s) within DevOps.
- Desire to drive operational experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge about the latest industry trends, and highly motivated to innovate.
- Understand the full software development lifecycle and will know how to integrate all aspects of it into a pipeline across multiple tools, deployment environments, and technologies.
- Experience in Linux & Windows servers, plus public cloud services - Azure or AWS.
