Transport Administrator

We’re looking for a full-time, permanent Transport Administrator to co-ordinate the transport operations of the depot in order to achieve business objectives and the needs of the customer. Working Monday to Friday core hours (with some flexibility - this is logistics after all).

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £26,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- You will dispatch routes to achieve contractual delivery times, conducting remedial planning to effectively manage live changes to the plan.
- Ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
- To ensure that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management
- To ensure that defected vehicles are recorded on traffic sheets
- To ensure that the procedure for damaged deliveries is followed where necessary
- To use all IT based systems in the effective delivery of their role including YMS, Sphere & WTS
- Ensures that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required e.g. debrief of drivers, dealing with customer issues etc.
- To ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken in line with legislative requirements
- To ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements highlighting any concerns to line management
- Conduct relevant QHSE activities: Care Cards, Bsafe, Safety Conversations etc
- To identify and highlight to management any potential improvement opportunities
- To demonstrate the Company Values in the undertaking of their role
- To undertake any other reasonable task as required.
- To always display the highest standards of customer service.
- To undertake any relevant training events in line with own personal development needs and business requirements

**What you need to succeed at XPO**:

- Previous experience within a transport / logistics organisation
- Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements
- Effective Customer Service Skills
- Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
- Operational understanding of team roles
