**About the IT Helpdesk Assistant**

We are looking for a Helpdesk Assistant to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems. You will answer queries on underlying technical issues and offer advice to solve them.

An excellent Helpdesk Assistant must have sufficient technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented and composed, to deal with demanding customers.

**IT Help Desk Assistant Responsibilities**
- Complete remote troubleshooting through TeamViewer and telephone questions
- Discover the best solution based on the issue and details provided by our staff
- Walk staff through the problem-solving process
- Direct unsolved issues to the outsourced IT provider
- Create, manage and troubleshoot Users on AD, Office 365 and other system
- Printer management and remote or in person printer support
- Experience in managing Telephone system support such as on prem PBX, IP PBX, Cloud hosted system and DECT based Cordless phones
- Experience in Remote Desktop WebApp or similar environment would be advantageous
- Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
- Follow-up and update job status and information
- Identify and suggest possible improvements to procedures
- Every quarter system inventory using TeamViewer and may be sometimes as a physical check
- Trained existing members of staff or New Staff on using existing as well as new systems and software
- Manage and maintain physical and logical devices, users, computers, groups, and access to resources, server environment and regular checks backup
- Obtaining Quote, comparing specs and identifying right supplier including excel based reporting will be regular task
- Knowledge on Office product is vital to help users who has limited knowledge in using such software
- User mailbox creation, managing spam filter and troubleshooting mail flow
- Maintaining and updating Inventory of Laptops, Mobiles and Tablets
- Working closely with external IT service provider
- Reducing external call outs to maintain budget

**IT Help Desk Technician Requirements**
- Must be currently working in IT job role
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and solve basic technical issues
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
- Have positive attitude
- Ability to guide and demonstrate non-technical staff a technical product or service.
- Willing to work hard and if necessary, stay late or start early to accommodate business needs
- We may ask time to time cover weekend or perform some tasks to reduce downtime in weekdays
- BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field is minimum requirement
- Full Clean driving license is required as it may require visiting site to solve problem
- Reliable person with good attendance record
- Experienced with Folder permissions, GPO, User permission as well as shared permission
- Normal Working hours 08:30 to 17:00 with 30 minutes break
