Controller - Barts

The NEPTS Planner Controller will ensure that the day to day management of all patient transport journeys are in line with NEPTS performance targets. Ensure all patient transfers are delivered safely as agreed with our Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). S/He will report to the NEPTS Assistant Control Room Manager.
The Post holder will be responsible in ensuring all journeys present and future is planned taking into consideration our patent requirements; i.e. care packages, mobility, age, medical condition and assigning the correct resource that will provide an assured and safe patient transfer in and out of our hospitals. Specifically they will:

- Be part of team responsible for the planning and allocation of over 1,200 journeys across Barts Health. This can only be done by assigning various patient transfer journeys to over 200 patient transport ambulance drivers across Bart's health Trust NHS. Ensure all patient journey planning, resource allocation are completed in a timely and confident manner.
- Actively supporting member of his/her team in ensuring that all operational resources are used efficiently by identifying continuous ways of improving our patient planning and allocation protocols.
- Using the NEPTS Cleric system and other transport tracking system for the management of ambulance staff on a day basis.

Extensive experience in Patient transport environment or similar.

NHS Experience.
Experience of using vehicle tracking software/telematics
Experience in data entry system/software
Experience in using computerized systems as well
