This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding and ambitious business, within a Telecoms Engineer position, specialising in fibre splicing and testing. Within this role, you will have a real chance to impact the success of the business throughfacilitating the uptake of new projects.
Are you looking to work for an ambitious Telecommunications infrastructure provider? Do you have extensive experience splicing and testing fibre? Are you looking for an autonomous role where you can substantially boost your pay through working overtime?
This Tier 1 Telecommunications Contractor has the vision to continue their sustainable growth and take on new projects with some of the biggest names in the Telecoms industry. They plan to do this through the recruitment of likeminded individuals with a passionfor their work. Through providing full turnkey telecommunications solutions across the central belt of Scotland, they have become very well respected within their field for the exceptional work that they carry out.
**The Role**:
*Travelling to Telecoms infrastructure build sites across the central belt of Scotland.
*Site based work with occasional trips to the office located near Edinburgh.
*Splicing fibre.
*OTDR and ILM fibre testing.
*Overtime expected (at an extra rate of pay).
*Expected to be on-call one week per month (or five weeks), paid at a rate of £150 per week.
**The Person**:
*Located a maximum of 1-hour commutable distance to the offices near Edinburgh.
*NRSWA Unit 2 Signing, Lighting and Guarding accreditation.
*Extensive experience splicing and testing fibre.
*Full UK driving licence.
