We are currently seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Workflow Administrator and Summariser to join our dynamic team in the primary care sector. As a Clinical Coder and Summariser, you will play a crucial role in accurately coding and summarising patient medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and maintaining data integrity. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities: Workflow Administrator To function as data input clerk as required with responsibility for the inputting of data according to established routine e.g., hospital letters, all incoming mail.

Review and analyse medical documentation to identify relevant diagnoses, procedures, and services provided. Ensure coding is compliant with coding guidelines and regulations Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and changes in coding practices Monitor Patient call and recall systems Scanning and coding of letters and relevant correspondence into patients notes. Filing and retrieving paperwork Assist in the tasks and duties of other staff within the team during periods of staff leave / absence to ensure that an effective quality service is always maintained and contributing to the work of the team. Assess own performance and take accountability for own actions, either directly or under supervision.

Assist in the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures Provide coding education and training to healthcare staff as needed Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations. Support the wider administration and reception team with admin and reception cover this will include occasional late night and Saturday cover when required as and when directed by the management team. Summariser Role: Fully summarise patients medical records, per the practice protocol, from documents and correspondence found in the Lloyd George packet and any other associated folders Ensuring at all times accuracy of dates, information, coding, and history. Seek advice from clinical staff regarding medical terminology and/or medical information or coding if unsure.

Identify key and relevant clinical information contained in the patient record and ensure summarised to patient computer record. Review any GP2GP transfer of medical records and ensure accurately recorded and coded as per practice protocol Deal with any queries or questions both internal and external relating to summarising and/ or coding of medical records. To be able to locate patients medical records as needed by the clinical and non-clinical staff and request from the relevant authority as required. Support the wider administration and reception team with admin and reception cover this will include occasional late night and Saturday cover when required as and when directed by the management team.
