We have a fantastic opportunity for a Cook at Trafford Council. This is a Part-time role for the next 2 - 4 weeks, with the possibility of extension.

**What is the role?**

Trafford Council’s Schools Catering Team are looking for an experienced Cook, to provide a catering service to ensure that children receive a balanced and nutritious meal.

Which supports the children in optimising their achievement and attainment levels.

**What are your responsibilities?**
- Skilled cooking activities connected with the full range of meals (for example preparation of menus, portion control and the provision of special dietary meals where appropriate).
- Follow set portion control and ensure all food is served to a high standard.
- To be responsible for monitoring and recording, day to day production schedule of each menu.
- Record keeping (for example ordering and receipt of supplies/stock taking etc.).
- Responsibility for health and safety and the control of hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring that Trafford’s HACCP is implemented.
- Knowledge of the School Food Plan
- The direction and / or supervision of other cooks.

**What skills do you Need?**
- Previous experience as a Cook, ideally at a School / College or Care Home
- Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Valid Food Hygiene certificate
- Working Hours will be 8.00am - 14.30pm Monday to Friday
