Analytical Scientist
My client is a leading provider of a wide range of analytical testing services to a range to clients. Due to organic growth, they are looking for an Analytical Scientist to join the team.
The role will involve analysis of a range of test samples (substances, compounds, formulations, investigational or commercial products, raw materials)
This role offers an exciting opportunity to an individual with a strong passion for sciences and experience of working within a pharmaceutical or environmental lab setting.
The Role:

- To carry out the analysis of samples such as raw materials, in-process materials, formulations, finished products, following validated methods and SOPs
- Carry out analytical testing using a range of instrumentation such as, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, UV-VIS, FTIR and KF
- Ensure maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Supporting the team in routine, non-routine analysis, method reviews, problem solving and trouble shooting
- Reviewing and checking technical documentation, standard operating procedures and policies
- Carry out data analysis and prepare and approve results for tests for clients.
- Working on laboratory-based analytical projects, this may include discussions with clients, preparation of project plans, technical oversight of analytical work, conducting complex analysis, review of data
- Previous experience of working in a lab-based environment would be desirable
- Experience using analytical techniques and equipment including: HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, UV-VIS, FTIR and KF
