We are seeking to recruit a Receptionist within the Outpatients Department in Chelsea. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, individual who enjoys working in a vibrant and growing service. You must have a passion for delivering excellent patient focused care. Acting as the first point of contact for all patients you will be responsible for delivering an efficient, high quality and responsive service for the within the outpatients department.
The successful applicant will be expected to have the ability to carry out all administration services and functions within the department for NHS patients.
You should have experience working with a variety of booking systems and be familiar with working to varied processes.

To undertake in a range of clerical, administration, and reception duties within the Outpatient department in a sensitive and polite manner whilst providing a comprehensive & efficient clerical service to patients and clinical staff within the trust.

- To provide a reception service, welcoming service users, ensuring an efficient, polite and friendly reception service is provided at all times.
- To answer all telephone calls from patients and professional staff in a helpful and friendly manner and to ensure all calls not pertaining to the outpatient’s department are dealt with politely and efficiently and re-routed where appropriate.
- To maintain a helpful and efficient approach whilst assisting patients to book their outpatients appointments as per Outpatients Booking Policy.
- Liaising with clinical staff when clinics are fully booked in order to provide an overbooking service to all patients in all clinics.
- To tick all patients in on arrival for clinics, checking all their personal details are correct.
