Aon is currently recruiting a Broker / Associate Director to join our Counter Terrorism broking team in London.

This is a Hybrid role which will involve part office/home-based working.

Broking
Complete placements from Non-Binding Indication to confirmation of cover a variety of deals
Binding transactions for clients across multiple products Client/Network Engagement
Putting together market submissions and understanding clients’ needs
Developing new and existing clients, guiding them through the process from initial meetings and engagements to binding first policies.
Structuring solutions for clients
Preparation for market presentations to ensure client’s requirements best presented
Work with multiple stakeholders on projects within team, and across the Aon Network & Global Specialties. Operational / Portfolio Management
Slips, endorsements and processing;
Working with the accounts team to ensure timely production of invoices;
Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with our policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of required training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company. The International Terrorism team comprises of 10 Brokers with their own expertise and various levels of experience. The team serves a wide portfolio of clients emanating from territories within Latin and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Far East.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced working environment, with access to Lloyds, the London market, and other Aon facilities to deliver the Political Violence/Terrorism Insurance/Reinsurance requirements of Aon’s clients. Skills and experience that will lead to success
Proven experience gained within the insurance industry at either a Broker or Insurer, preferably with knowledge of Terrorism, Political Violence or associated markets
Good understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes;
Experience of managing effective client relationships with insurers, both Lloyds and company markets;
Ability to utilise insurance industry IT systems (Brokasure / ECM / PPL)
Effective communication and presentation skills;
Awareness of compliance and FCA regulation; How we support our colleagues
