Hgv/psv Mechanic

So one of our engineers is off to join the big wide world of main agents in a few weeks and as a result we are looking for another Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team

We have a 6 bay, IRTEC Accredited Workshop that i like to think is well equipped, we work on 4 sets of Totalkare lifts, have Roller Brake Testing facilities, Jaltest Diagnostic Kit aswell as plenty of other bits of equipment. (I absolutely hate scratting about and struggling and as such, if there is a tool we can get to make the job easier then we get it)

We undertake all manner of repairs, from routine inspections and daily repairs right through to full on engine rebuilds and transmission repairs - there is no job that we won't tackle so don't worry about getting bored)

Occasionally we do head out roadside to carry out repairs and have just treated ourselves to a very smart MAN TGE service van thats well kitted out and lit up like a christmas tree

We supply you with all the PPE you need except for boots....everyone has their own preference as to boots so i let you choose your own pair of them.

Now an experienced PSV mechanic is going to be hard to come by i dare say but if you are keen and fancy a change the we are happy to train you up.

We have a thriving apprenticeship program and have another apprentice starting this time so someone who doesn't mind sharing their wealth of knowledge and experience with an apprentice would be greatly appreciated.

Training is provided where required, we have all workshop staff trained on the Forklift, a Basic Jaltest Course and you will be put through your IRTEC license in line with our IRTE Workshop Accreditation.

We are currently paying £16 per hour which may not be industry leading (and i am sure some people won't hold back in telling me this) but we do offer a steady place of work, within an excellent team who all muck in to get the job done and turn the vehicles out to the highest possible standards We don't work to standard times (the job takes as long as it takes - within reason) I am not chasing down your back every day and if everythings done, boxed off and fixed then stand round and drink tea....i don't mind

Pay: £16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
