An opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Experienced Gardener with the enthusiasm for maintaining a beautiful garden already at a high standard set East of Peterborough and bordering Norfolk.

The position is full time, permanent and would suit a friendly and knowledgeable all round gardener. The property is a beautiful old Victorian Rectory set within 7 acres of land. The majority of the estate is cut paddocks without animals onsite and the 3 acre garden consists of extensive manicured lawns, a topriary garden, several mixed beds and borders, roses, hedges with one large hedge along the driveway, old established trees and new trees. The owner is passionate about her garden and will work closely with the experienced gardener in putting together the plans throughout the year.

There are two part time assistants to help with maintenance and assist the gardener.

PA1/PA6 spray certificates are essential.

A chain saw certificate would also be an advantage.

A driving licence is required for the role due to the rural location of the estate and a van is provided for work purposes.

There is a wide range of machinery including garden tools, tractor and trailer, therefore the ability to operate a range of garden machinery and good craft skills are also desirable for the role.

You will need to be organised, able to plan and prioritise your workload, have good communication skills and the ability to work alongside others.

The hours will be 8am to 4pm with half an hour for lunch, but there can be some flexibility.
