**About the Role**

Due to the successful procurement of new contracts and business expansion, we at SJM Electrical Services Ltd are seeking Testing Engineers to join our friendly and fast-growing team, to contribute to the smooth operation of the growing business and to meet customer demand.

**Duties will include (but are not limited to)**:

- Testing and inspection across all sectors of the business
- Emergency lighting testing
- Remedial repairs following on from inspections
- Direct liaison with clients to address their requirements
- From time to time, as the business requires, undertaking domestic electrical works such as re-wires, domestic repairs, and fault finding.

**Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities**
- You must have the 2391/ 2394/ 2395 qualification and have experience of working on testing (EICR) on domestic properties, as well as general electrical maintenance where required. You must be comfortable testing and completing certificates and recommending remedial works with material lists.
- To ensure that the NICEIC certificate is uploaded to the website within 24 hours of completing the work
- To ensure your diary (ServiceM8) is updated after each job with a report of your findings, photographs, and recommendations, following the company wide process
- To complete, thoroughly and accurately, Electrical Certification and client specific documentation after every visit - to include photographs and remedial recommendations including detailed material lists
- To arrive on time to every appointment and keep the customer updated if this is not achievable
- To be polite, courteous and helpful to every customer; you are an ambassador for SJM
- To carry out any other ad-hoc duties as requested by senior management
- Full training on company processes will be delivered

**Formal Education & Certification**
- To hold Level 2 and Level 3 City and Guilds in Electro Technical Engineering
- To hold either 2391 or 2932 Test and Inspection Qualification
- PAT Testing Qualification
- To hold 2382-18 qualification

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years’ electrical engineering experience
- Track record of Test and Inspection
- Track record of dealing with domestic clients
- Experience with reacting to an urgent electrical issue at short notice

**Personal Attributes**
- Personable with great communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly motivated with excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work using own initiative and disciplined in terms of reporting and completing certification documentation
- Good attention to detail and the ability to see tasks through to completion
