**Job Overview**

Redcliffe Imaging is a small print company that provides an online print service for artists and illustrators producing fine art prints and greeting cards; in addition, we specialise in printing large format graphics, such as billboards, custom printed wallpaper, and exhibition graphics. Print finishing is the last stage of production and requires managing a high volume of greeting card printing, trimming, and finishing plus the careful handling and accurate trimming out of large rolls of printed graphics. The final stage is the careful collating and packaging of every finished print order to ensure it arrives safely with the customer.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Processing greeting card print files on a Fiery RIP station for sending to print on a Konica Bizhub PRESS C7090. Finished greeting card orders need trimming and collating, most will require acetate sleeves and envelope stock to be added.
- Trimming and finishing fine art prints using Rotatrim, scalpel and steel rule. The finished prints must be very accurately trimmed to ensure they fit customer’s mounts and frames.
- Trimming and finishing of large format graphics using a variety of tools including Rotatrim, vertical cutter, scalpel and steel rule. This includes posters, wallpaper, window graphics and display graphics for portable display systems. The finished graphics must be very accurately trimmed to ensure that the graphic panels line up exactly.
- Fitting trimmed out large format graphics into portable display systems such as banner stands and pop up stands. Display systems have a variety of fixing systems including clamps, double sided tape and magnetic strips.
- Mounting and laminating of large format graphics using a roller mounter on to a variety of substrates such as card and Foamex.
- All completed orders require careful packing to ensure that they are not damaged in transit. Some small print orders will be shipped flat, most will be shipped in strong cardboard tubes and large display systems will ship in specialist transit cases.
- All print orders must be carefully checked for colour, quality and uniformity before dispatch. Print surfaces, in particular fine art prints, are delicate and can be easily scuffed or damaged.
- Updating order management system (Order Desk).

**Good teamwork, flexibility, communication, and initiative are required to ensure that all print orders meet their deadlines. **Occasionally print orders have problems or run late requiring liaison with the print section and production manager.

Additional skills required are basic computer literacy, numeracy, and the ability to safely handle cutting equipment such as scalpels and steel rules. Good colour vision essential.
