Bensons is a leading UK designer and manufacturer of bespoke and high-quality control panels and systems. We are trusted by companies in a diverse range of industries throughout the World, and to support our ongoing development and growth we are looking to recruit a pre-production team member to join our Head Office in Normanton.

The electrical control panels that Bensons’ manufacture range in size and complexity, and it is rare for any two to be the same. Consequently, the pre-production operator will need the skills or experience to work in a design-to-order environment, ensuring that all pre-worked parts needed are available when required. This will include labels, wire numbers, tags, backplates, cases and premade cables.

Success in the role is to work effectively within a small and dynamic team to support the wider manufacturing team in the manufacture of high-quality electrical control panels.

The role reports to Bensons' Operations Manager.

**Essential Skills**
- Must be computer literate
- Able to prioritise and manage own workload in line with production requirements

**Desirable Skills**
- Able to use CAD software to control automated production equipment, including CNC machines and laser engravers
- Able to interpret and follow engineering drawings
- Able to accurately size, cut and crimp cables in accordance with agreed standards

Training will be provided to address any skills gaps.

- Be able to work to a high standard of quality with a strong attention to detail;
- Have the ability to work constructively as part of a team;
- Be a self-starter and problem solver who is comfortable working with mínimal supervision;

- Possess good English language communication skills, both written and oral; and,
- Have the ability to work with all types of people, contributing on a team level as well as on an individual level.

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
