Gluing Operative

Job Title: Gluing Operator

**Salary**: £17.46 Per hour

Location: Elland

XCL Group have a new opportunity for a gluing operative to join our client based in Elland. The role is based on a temporary - permanent position, they are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic and has previously experience within the printing industry.

**Key Tasks**
- Oversee the smooth running of gluing machines producing cartons
- Install and adjust guide assembly and folding mechanisms according to specification
- Using hand tools
- Ensure the glue tanks are full at all times and feed the gluing machine with carton blanks
- Follow instructions given on works job program ensuring run speed and special instruction are strictly followed
- Ensure machines are clean from any waste material
- Ensure maintenance programs are followed and documented
- Maintain good working relationships with all individuals and other departments
- Report faults to line manager immediately
- Inform the relevant person when parts need ordering and ensure regular stock checks are completed
- May involve some flexibility to cover other operators holidays to ensure the smooth running of the machines

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience and knowledge of the printing/ packaging industry
- Previous experience operating a Carton gluing machine
- Experience of straight line, crash lock cartons
- Ability to work within a team and on your own accord
- Ability to work under pressure and time restraints calm and efficiently
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Be an enthusiastic individual and open to change

**Hours**
- Continental Shift Pattern
- Overtime available (paid at time and a half )

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
