Sports Groundsman

**Due to expediential growth in our business, we have an exciting opportunity and are recruiting for a Sports Groundsman who has a can-do attitude who will join an existing team based in Aldershot.**

**Job Purpose**:
As a **Sports Groundsman**, you will be responsible for maintaining a multitude of different **grass and synthetic** sports pitches as well as athletics and tennis courts at many of our sites in and around the Aldershot area. Providing a **top-class horticultural environment** for our clients, and ensuring that the requirements of the client and the specification are fully met for the enjoyment, recreation and safety of the sites, employees and visitors.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Ability to work as part of a team or on their own
- Good general knowledge with **sports maintenance** of winter grass pitches and synthetic surfaces
- Knowledge of **sports pitch renovations**:

- Full driving licence is essential
- Passionate about the **environment **with a keen eye for detail.
- NVQ or Diploma Level 2 **Horticulture **/ Landscaping (or equivalent)
- Spraying Certificates - **NPTC PA1 & PA6**:

- Experience in Landscaping / Grounds Maintenance
- Experience with using petrol two stroke grass/hedge cutting equipment is preferable, but not essential
- Experience with **ride on** grass cutting equipment and **tractor **driving preferable but not essential
- Flexible in approach to work and willing to work outside in all **weathers**:

- Due to location on the Military Barracks, **security clearance** will be required
