The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences is part of the Faculty of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences, which also includes Medicine and Dentistry. The School offers several undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare related degrees including the Master of Pharmacy and accredited BSc Biomedical Sciences. The School offers a friendly and supportive learning environment with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities.

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Physiology, on a one-year fixed term contract, who will contribute to the areas of course delivery, course management and course development in Pharmacy and Biosciences at UCLan. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team and make a contribution to teaching, learning and assessment.

The motivated and enthusiastic applicant will hold a BSc/MSc in an appropriate bioscience related discipline and a PhD in a relevant area and have experience of teaching Biomedical Science or Pharmacy in higher education. The successful applicant will also hold AFHEA, FHEA or higher and be expected to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate level teaching in the areas of physiology.

Excellent communication skills, involvement in delivery and co-ordinating teaching and the ability to work in a team are essential for this position.
