**Salary: £34,053 - £42,556 + 25 days hols + 8 bank holidays + employer pension contributions up to 10% of salary**

We are now looking for a UX/UI Digital Designer to join us on this journey, the purpose of your role will be to:

- Work alongside the digital development team to design sitemaps, wireframes and user journeys for new products and services
- Monitor conversion and designing A/B Multivariant tests on user journeys to increase on site conversion over several areas. Identifying, analysing, and creating market leading experiences
- Collaborate effectively with business and technical teams balancing business requirements with what is right for our users
- Take the lead on large scale projects, and from concept to launch endeavour to deliver experiences our users want, can easily use, and remember using.
- Continually look for areas of improvement from both detailed analytics, and own experience in UX using usability testing and designing with the user in mind.
- Analyse and design user journeys, monitor performance and identify areas for improvement across all digital channels.
- Looking to improve the design of the company's brand and enhance the digital experiences for customers
- Utilise relevant software throughout the UX process from research, through to designing and testing
- Work with other UX designers to build design frameworks and share ideas.

**What skills are we looking for?**

**Essential**
- Strong understanding and practice of UX and design principles
- Strong knowledge of User Research Techniques and User testing with Prototyping
- Experience with raster and vector graphics
- Good working knowledge of site-mapping and user journey plotting
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and business stakeholders to ensure that high quality end-user designs meet customer requirements
- An aptitude for using a logical, step-by-step approach to ensure designs are user friendly and simple for end users
- A high level of concentration and resilience to stay focused on a project to the end and meet deadlines
- Highly motivated and self-reliant with a personal drive for continuous development and demonstrates a strong customer service ethos.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships within one or more technology disciplines.
- Ability to demonstrate relentless drive, energy, and determination to deliver sustainable outperformance that rigorously achieves against demanding competitive industry benchmarks and metrics from other organisations.
- Commercial awareness to support the technical preparation of RFPs (Request for Proposals), bid proposals and contracts for infrastructure projects and large scale or mission critical projects
- Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a dynamic, changing environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to all levels, for technical and non-technical audiences both written and oral communications.
- Ability to develop and work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to pick up and own issues or projects on behalf of the management team.
- Strong organisation and personal management skills.
- Ability to influence individuals and ensure completion of activities.

**Desirable**
- Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, SASS and React
- Exposure of SEO principles (meta-data) to optimise page designs
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Previous experience in an operational and / or strategic leadership role in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment.
- Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process, or manufacturing industry sectors.
