**About The Role**:

If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant with a strong understanding of how a Theatre operates then we have just the role for you.

We are looking for a Theatre Healthcare Assistant who can work 37.5 hours a week to join our busy Theatre team in our Plymouth Hospital.

**Scope of the role**

You will be a vital member of the Theatre team, you provide support to the qualified staff, ensuring a safe and effective clinical service is provided to all users across the Theatre.

You will provide a patient focused service within the unit, expanding the role appropriately under supervision and guidance of a trained nurse

This will include ensuring documentation is kept up to date, liaising with other providers and the wider team at the hospital. You will also take responsibility for booking pre-assessment appointments.

The role involves direct contact with patients and their families on a physical and psychological level and therefore you need to be empathetic, friendly and have with good interpersonal skills as well as;
- Experience in a Theatre environment
- The ability to promote safe patient care
- The ability to recognise and give priority to the needs of patients while maintaining respect, dignity and having an individualised approach to patient services
