Based in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees, we service all areas across the North East and throughout the UK. Due to continued growth and investment, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team at NRS.

Key Responsibilities:
**Section 38 and 278 Expertise**:

- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience in executing Section 38 (Adoption of Highways) and Section 278 (Works affecting the Highway) projects.
- Ensure compliance with local authority standards and regulations related to Section 38 and 278 works.

**Remedial Construction**:

- Execute remedial works in accordance with project specifications, ensuring quality standards and timelines are met.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective remedial solutions.

**Site Preparation and Maintenance**:

- Undertake site preparation activities, including excavation, grading, and other groundwork as necessary for Section 38 and 278 projects.
- Implement effective site maintenance practices to ensure a safe and organised work environment.

**Equipment Operation**:

- Operate a variety of construction equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, and compaction equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices during equipment operation.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, progress reports, and any relevant documentation related to Section 38 and 278 projects.
- Provide timely and detailed reports to project management on the status of ongoing works.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that remedial works meet specified standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Implement corrective measures as needed to address any deviations from project specifications.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in civil engineering with a focus on Section 38 and 278 works.
- Relevant certifications in civil engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with local authority regulations and standards.
- Proficient in operating a range of construction equipment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.

Pay: £13.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
