UK Direct Business Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR professional to join our team as the Head of Human Resources.

**Job Purpose**

The Head of HR will support the Director of Business Operations and take on the day-to-day responsibility for the existing HR team. Understanding and aligning themselves to our Companies Purpose and Values will provide them the platform from which to further develop the HR Function and elevate its profile within a diverse business. Accountable for all HR policies and processes, supporting the delivery of all aspects of the employee life cycle (from recruitment & on boarding, employee development, engagement and notably employee relations and people analytics) helping to embed the company purpose and values. This role supports the wider business across the UK.

**Key Result Areas**
- Represent the HR department consistently and with professionalism with confidence and skill.
- Translate key data into an effective and commercially focused HR and people strategy, working with senior management and influencing them on the best course of action.
- To provide company-wide information by interpreting people data and analysing figures on staff turnover, cost per hire etc.
- Establish departmental accountabilities for the range of HR functions from employment law advice to health and safety compliance.
- Champion change initiatives getting buy-in from board members and challenge where necessary
- Ensure legal compliance is met in all HR activities.
- Continuously review the responsibilities of the HR department and make bold decisions to ensure continuous improvement
- Support change management across the business as it continues to grow
- Drive alignment between HR strategy and business objectives
- Championing employee engagement, working closely with regional and area managers and staff to develop action plans and ensure these are followed through and communicated to staff
- Ensure a culture of trust based on open communication, where collaboration and cooperation is encouraged and reinforced
- Championing wellbeing through support and guidance
- Provide professional and accurate generalist HR advice and coaching to your teams and managers across the business including absence management, contractual issues, legislative compliance and employee relations
- Lead or support in more complex employee relation activities including disciplinary, grievance and capability hearings including appeals
- Support the development of a high-performance culture, ensuring performance & development practices are embedded across the organisation
- Ensuring HR guidance documents, policies, and procedures are kept up to date and sit within the correct areas of the business

**Essential Requirements for the role**:

- Advanced HR skills and level 7 CIPD or master's degree
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Head of HR role
- Robust employment law knowledge and how this underpins HR policies & practices
- IT Literate with strong capability on Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and adapting to bespoke systems
- Ability to influence all stakeholders
- Genuine desire to help others flourish and find fun in what we do
- Positive energy with a can do / will do mind-set
- Experience leading and building dynamic teams
- Highly organised and able to manage the day to day and balance any projects
- Solutions oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Credibility and impact to gain trust of direct reports and the wider business
- Confident influencing and considered decision making skills
- Open, approachable and skilled at engaging with and advising people at all levels

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £55,000.00 per year
