Atlas Professionals are currently recruiting for a temporary Rig Buyer to commence for an Aberdeen-based client from end of March until the end of the year.

Duties
- To ensure that Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders are processed in a professional manner and in accordance with Company procedures.
- Where Request for Quote (RFQ)/tenders are obtained from suppliers they shall be evaluated and compared for price and delivery terms.
- To identify possible cost savings within the Procure to Pay (P2P) process.
- To assist the Finance department on any invoice discrepancies and if required to resolve with vendor.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation associated to the purchase is filed and maintained according

to Company procedures.
- Monitor and analysis purchasing data to make accurate buying decisions.
- Liaise with Technical, Operations and Warehouse personnel to ensure that repairs are forwarded to the appropriate vendor and expedited in a timely manner.
- Advise Rig Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and rig/unit of any potential delays in the provision of materials and services that could disrupt normal operations.
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
- Communicate daily with Supply Chain department, Rig and Operations Department.
- Adhere to and implement where applicable, Company quality, health, and environmental procedures, where applicable.
- Where appropriate, fully support any purchasing needs within the organisation.
- Upon request, participate in the on call rota for Supply Chain.
- Attendance and participation at meetings as required.
- Undertake other duties as defined by management.
- Experienced in ERP Systems. Experience in IFS is not essential.
- Experience in a similar role within a Supply Chain/Purchasing department.
- Project experience is preferred.
- Drilling experience would be ideal i.e. Drilling Contractor or Drilling Service Company, but not essential. Oil & Gas experience is essential.
- Knowledge of drilling equipment is preferable.
- Computer literate (excel, reports etc).
- CIPS awareness and qualified.
- Good communication skills.
- Quick learner.
- Enthusiastic.
- Self Motivated.
- Ability to use their own initiative yet contribute to a small team.
- International experience would be advantageous.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

**Salary**: From £1.00 per hour
