Veterinary Receptionist

**The role**:
You will be part of the journey from the excitement of the beloved pets’ first vaccination, during periods of illness, right up to offering condolences when difficult decisions must be made.

Duties will include:

- Answering the phone and answering client enquiries
- Greet and check-in clients and their pets
- Offering support, non-clinical guidance and expertise
- Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar
- Collecting and processing payments
- Administrative tasks such as scanning and updating the Practice Management system
- Ensuring our front of house standards are maintained to the highest levels

**About you**:
We are looking for a calm, attentive individual who will always focus on the clients’ needs. You will be able to remain composed in the event of a veterinary emergency or challenging circumstances.

You will have excellent customer service and telephone skills and be IT literate.

Previous experience of working within a customer care role or within veterinary services would be desirable but not essential - being able to demonstrate a passion for service and a love for pets is what truly matters.

**Part time (min 20 hours) or full time (max 38 hours) options available. Weekends are 1:3 both Saturday and Sunday 8am - 7pm, weekday shifts vary between the hours of 8am - 9pm.**

Our Vets4Pets Hospital is a RCVS Accredited 24/7 animal hospital in the heart of Northampton, acting as OOH provider for 9 other practices. In 2009, the practice was opened by our Joint Venture Partners, Jenny Millington & Davinia Graves with 2 employees and a vision and commitment to provide quality veterinary care to the local community. Last October, the practice moved to much larger premises and our team has now grown to 75 colleagues and continues to go from strength to strength.
