Head of Pe Girls

Reed Education are working with a happy, creative, ambitious school who are looking for a Head of PE (Girls) to join their team in September. They are at the heart of their community and benefit from support from all in their locality.

They have high expectations and as a result, they are looking to appoint an experience English Teacher or Head of Department to uphold these.

The role:

- Raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support student progress.
- To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others
- To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the faculty, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by the Governing Body and Headteacherof the school
- To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the curriculum area.
- To effectively manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources within the faculty
- Work collaboratively with local KS2 teachers and develop links with feeder schools

About you:

- Proven ability to raise achievement within a department
- Experience line managing.
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Evidence of further study e.g. Masters Degree or NCSL courses
- Safeguarding and behaviour management training
- Ability to implement systems and practices to promote good outcomes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
