The JOY Project, a female only service, has been commissioned to deliver services across six districts in Worcestershire and this position is for Bromsgrove, Kidderminster & Redditch however cover in the south of the county may be necessary from time to time.

Key Responsibilities for Joy Project Worker:
- Provide 1to1 and group support within the community for vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
- Carry out assessments for people enrolled on the JOY Project, making referrals to, and supporting them to access services, to include Domestic abuse, mental health, safeguarding, benefits, debt, housing and financial advice.
- Assist and support service users to create a Personal Development plan, using GROW Goals & other coaching tools.
- Explore solutions to build self - confidence and increase personal empowerment for women.
- Design and facilitate, group work to develop peer support networks and to increase skills, confidence, self-esteem and emotional resilience in participants.
- Recruit, motivate and encourage people to become volunteers and peer mentors.
- Support the Project Manager with the Skills development of the team, to include the support workers and volunteers, through training and mentoring.
- Assist with the production of performance monitoring reports and project evaluation.
- Promote the project with potential service users, partners and the wider community.
- Act as a positive role model for women.
- Use reflective practice within supervision to inform practice.
- Be able to work some evenings and weekends.
Skills and experience needed for the Joy Project Worker:
**Experience - Essential**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with vulnerable and disadvantaged women.
- Experience of working with vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
- Experience of providing one to one support and group support to service users.
- Experience of multi-agency approaches to supporting individuals and families, including making referrals and advocating on client’s behalf, including safeguarding.
- Experience of creating proven action plans to address risk and client needs
- Experience of developing groups and courses, in response to client consultation.
- Experience of working with volunteers and developing volunteer opportunities.
**Skills**
- Willingness to develop and learn and to reflect on practice.
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to establish excellent working relationships both within the Trust and its partners.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to motivate service users.
- Calm immediate response to potential high-risk situations.
- Ability to manage conflict.
- Able to act in a professional manner with integrity at all times, understanding and adhering to professional boundaries.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to plan a busy diary, organise own work
- Able to take responsibility for own actions and make decisions whilst referring to other appropriately.
- Ability to find solutions to a problem
- Have a full driving license and access to vehicle to travel across the county for delivery
