We are currently recruiting for a Legal Executive to join our prestigious client based in Shropshire.
Primary purpose:
The role of the Legal Executive is to provide a support and advisory service to all teams across the business, on matters requiring legal or contractual input. Working as part of the Legal & Compliance Team, they will play an important role in safeguardingthe brand.
Your Time at Work
Your day to day:
Identifying, qualifying and setting up business with appropriate legal partners across the world.
Liaising with legal representatives in various countries, seeking advice, reporting to stakeholders, and interpreting key points for consideration and risk factors.
Advising on content of, as well as drafting, amending and reviewing contracts with third parties, including but not limited to licence agreements, trademark agreements, copyright agreements, contract grower agreements, supplier trading agreements, engagementcontracts for external commercial contractors, commercial terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, R&D contracts and employment contracts.
Preparation of evidence and files for enforcement matters; presenting facts, options, risks, and possible outcomes to assist in the decision-making process.
Actioning agreed plans for enforcement, including but not limited to sending letters of varying strength, working with lawyers to escalate proceedings, and attending the sites of suspected infringers, or those suspected of breaching contractual obligations,which may be outside of the UK, to support the audit team.
Debt recovery support.
Representing the company's position with breeder organisations, trade organisations or other bodies whose work benefits the company as a whole.
Working closely with and supporting other members of the Legal & Compliance Team to achieve departmental goals, supporting on matters including but not limited to Intellectual Property, Competition Law, Contract law and Corporate Social Responsibility.
And such other duties and responsibilities as the Company may from time to time reasonably require you to carry out which may include work in other departments

What you bring to the team
Ability to demonstrate previous experience within a similar role and industry.
Able to demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of contract law, competition law and intellectual property law, with practical examples.
Excellent attention to detail, along with excellent spoken and written English.
Well organised with good administrative skills.
Confident and personable - a good ambassador for the company with competitors, peers in the industry and infringers.
Fearless and ready for a challenge.
