Rate of Pay: £10.70 per hour.

Working Time: This role is for 19 hours per week for 36 weeks per year with the following working pattern:
Monday - 4.30pm-7.30pm

Tuesday - 4.30pm-9.30pm

Wednesday - 4.30pm-9.30pm

Thursday - 4.30pm -7.30pm

Friday - 4.30pm-7.30pm

Contract Type: Permanent.

Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme.

Leave entitlement: 25 Days per annum plus bank holidays.

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an evening caretaker. If you are not a morning person this may be just the role you are looking for

You will have excellent customer service skills and be confident to work on your own initiative and take responsibility for securing our campus including setting alarms and locking up. You will work as part of a well-established Estates Team, and you will provide support to the evening reception team, theatre, and sports centre when unexpected situations or emergencies arise after normal office hours. You will always have telephone access to a colleague.

The role requires physical fitness as you will be standing for long periods of time and walking around all the buildings on our campus on a nightly basis. You will have high levels of vigilance and be thorough in your approach to security.

Whilst this position is for 36 weeks per year, we have opportunities for additional day time hours to cover absence or to support the Estates Team on larger projects that take place across the summer or throughout the year.
